Antha Lois Southall

Antha Lois Southall 78 of Farmville, VA passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017. She was born in Suffolk, VA to the late Joseph R. and Alma Dunnavant Johnson on October 6, 1938. She retired from Prince Edward Social Services, attended Maranatha Baptist Church with her husband of 10 years Gene Southall. She was a member of the Heart of Virginia Classic Auto Club, loved to read, garden working in her yard and her animals. She is survived by her husband Gene Southall, one son Robert W. McPherson (Barbara) of Virginia Beach, VA, two daughters; Kathy Bailey of Farmville, VA, Cindy McPherson of Farmville, VA a brother Thomas Johnson of Fairfax, VA, one sister Gladys Matthews of Chesapeake, VA, two step daughters Sherry Clark (Kevin), Gena Southall (Scott Davis), 7 grandchildren; Jason Marrero (Shellie), April Thompson (Ryan), Kristen Marrero, Steven Hatfield, Patrick Smith, Jennifer Chaulker (Derry), Johnny Ricka Smith, four step grandchildren; Jacob Epps, Josh Epps, Jack Epps, Jenna Powell and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her twin brother Charles Johnson and a step daughter Paige Epps. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 11:00AM in Maranatha Baptist Church with interment to follow in Trinity Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM in Puckett Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Southside SPCA PO Box 66, Meherrin, VA 23954.
