The Earthly life of Anthony Garfield Harmon came to a peaceful and serene end as he slipped away from his family on Friday afternoon on August 30, 2013 with out saying good-by. He resided in Miami Beach, Florida. He was born to Woodrow and Bertha Harmon in Yonkers, NY on October 9, 1953. They later moved to Mt. Vernon, New York where Tony was educated in the public schools. At an early age he became a baptized member of the Macedonia Baptist Church in Mount Vernon. Tony was always the nice, quiet, popular guy. His home was the meeting place for his friends to sit and chat, horse around, listen to music and eat. After graduating from high school he entered and received his degree from Brown University in Providence RI. He enrolled in and graduated from the Down State NYU School of Medicine. Tony continued with his residency of Medicine at the Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Ill. His mother had retired and moved to Farmville, VA so Tony decided to move closer to home. He settled in Washington DC and was employed in the Emergency Room at the Washington Center Hospital where he stayed for 26 years. Tony was married to Lisa Majete and out of this marriage they had one daughter, Danielle. He later married Stacy Lacroix and they relocated to Miami Beach, Florida. He leaves to cherish his legacy; a loving and devoted wife Stacy, one daughter Danielle Harmon, one step son Milton Lacroix, his mother Bertha Harmon, aunts, uncle, cousins and friends, mother and father-in-law and sister–in-law.
