Charlotte Josephine Grogan

The Lord called Charlotte Josephine Grogan, 65 of Farmville, home Saturday, March 5, 2011. She was born April 26, 1945 in Covington, Virginia. She was the daughter of Roscoe Eagle Wheeler, Sr. and Leona Rucker Wheeler. Charlotte worked as a division training instructor for Safeway stores in Richmond, VA., and was also an intricate part of the success of Par-Bills Food Store in the 1980s. Charlotte was also the owner and operator of Chars Frozen Yogurt Shop.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, William J. (Bill) Grogan, her brothers, Roscoe Wheeler of Amherst, Johnny Wheeler of Farmville and Parker Wheeler also of Farmville; her sisters, Jackie Wright of Covington, VA, Joyce Smith of Lexington, VA, Lucy Lowen of Washington, North Carolina and Shirley Lawhorn of Covington, VA; numerous nieces and nephews and she was the godmother of Zachary Ceroli. She was preceded in death by her brother, William Edward Wheeler.
A funeral service will be held Friday, March 11, 2011 10:30am at the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home with interment in Westview Cemetery. Family will receive friends Thursday evening 7:00-8:30pm at the funeral home.
