Dale Lee Bolt, 59, Of Farmville, Dies November 3 NOVEMBER 6 — Dale Lee Bolt, 59, of Farmville, went to be with the Lord Monday, November 3, 2014. He was born March 24, 1955 to Flora Woodson Bolt and the late Hasten Ray Bolt. At the time of his death, he was serving as the General Registrar for Prince Edward County, supervising all elections for the County and the Town of Farmville. Mr. Bolt was a graduate of Buckingham County High School, earning many honors including induction into the Beta Club and the National Honor Society. He was also a graduate of Longwood College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in History and a minor in Government. His organizational skills and hard work earned him additional honors throughout his career, including Sales Associate of the Year for Phillip Levy Furniture Store and Manager of the Year for Wallace’s Bookstore. He was a member of the Farmville/Prince Edward County Historical Society, serving as secretary and past president. His dedication to his family was limitless; there was no end to his generosity and compassion. His faith in the Lord was evident by the roles he accepted as pianist, elder, trustee, Sunday school teacher and Clerk of the Session for Appomattox P.E. Presbyterian Church. Mr. Bolt is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Judith Johnson Bolt; a daughter, Jennifer Bolt; a son, Christopher Bolt; his mother, Flora W. Bolt; three brothers, Douglas Bolt, Steve Bolt and Kyle Bolt; sisters-in-law, Betty Jean Bolt, Terri Bolt, Jeni Bolt, Kay Baber and Helen Harford; nieces, Nichole Murdock, Ashley Bolt, Stacy Bolt, Jacqueline Alward and Carol Frazier; nephews, Brandon Bolt, John Baber, Joshua Bolt and Jacob Bolt; and great-nieces, Haley and Payden Murdock. Also included in the family are Deborah Warner and her daughter, Emma Grace. Visitation will be held Thursday night (tonight) from 6-8 p.m. at Puckett Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Appomattox P.E. Presbyterian Church with interment in the church cemetery and a reception to follow in the church Fellowship Hall.
