Daphne Lynn Agee

Daphne Lynn Hawkins Agee age 50 of Prospect passed away at her home on Wednesday, January 2, 2013. She is the wife of John Taylor Agee. She was born in Farmville on July 25 1962 to Rudolph and Bernice Stiles Hawkins. She graduated from Prince Edward County School and furthered her education at Danville Community College, where she became a nurse. She loved her family, friends and all of her “children”. She worked in her community as a Farmville firefighter for 5 years and spent 20 years volunteering at the Prince Edward County Rescue Squad. She spent the last year fighting breast cancer but never stopped loving working in her community and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, John Taylor Agee, her 2 sons; Foster Neal Collins and Christopher James Collins, her parents; Rudolph and Bernice Hawkins and a sister; Candice Wingfield. A funeral service will be held, Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 11:00AM in the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Rice. Family will receive friends, Friday January 4, 2013 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at Puckett Funeral Home. Memorial Contributions may be made to; Alan B.
