David Earle Thompson

David Earle Thompson age 67 of Farmville, VA passed away on March 4th, 2017.
David was born in Huntington, WV on March 12, 1949. During his years in VA, he attended Arlington church of Christ before moving to Farmville in 1998 where he settled at Piedmont church of Christ. David loved the Lord and was a faithful and dedicated member who was always willing to do what needed to be done. He enjoyed any time he could spend with his church family.
David attended Abilene Christian University before working at various libraries including Farmville Public Library, Cumberland Co. Public Library, the Library of Congress, and the Smithsonian. David also served a brief stint with the air force before receiving an honorable medical discharge.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Anna Ruth Alexander and Earle Glenn Thompson, and his grandparents, Anna May and Lucius Alexander. He is survived by his siblings, Mary Seitz of Culloden, WV, William Thompson of Huntington, WV, Sue Dickinson of Avon Park, FL, and Ann DaRoss of CT, and many nephews and nieces.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 6:00 PM at Piedmont church of Christ, with a repast to follow.
