Diane Elaine Bromer (Jackson / Guthrie) born December 9,1941 to Clyde & Ruth Jackson of Turtle Creek Pa. Diane went to Turtle Creek High School where she graduated 16th in her class. She was married to Lewis William Bromer with whom she had two children Lewis & Gayle. Diane ended up raising Lewis & Gayle solely by herself. She worked for Jim Robertson Architecture, White Westinghouse Electrolux, Eat n Park Monroeville & Juvenile Probation both in Wilkinsburg and Downtown Pittsburgh. Even though Diane had a hard time making ends meet Lewis & Gayle were raised never knowing this. She always made sure they had the best she could give them, making Halloween costumes, taking them to the train display, downtown Pittsburgh to look at the Christmas windows, donkey basketball games, Pirates games, baking cookies, making popcorn and watching the Brady Bunch on Friday nights. You name it. Her goal was to give her children the best she could; eventually putting them both through college while working a full time and a part time job at the same time. Later in life she cherished having the opportunity to play a large role in helping Lewis raise his three boys Travis (Chelsea, great-grandson Henry), Tyler and Tanner (Emily). Diane was the same type of grandmother as she was a mother giving all of the love and care she could to her grandchildren. Diane loved everything about Pittsburgh, the beautiful city, the hard working people, Steelers, Penguins, Moio’s cake & Mary Jo's pizza. She enjoyed hand quilting and quilted with a number of groups. She also enjoyed baking and sharing her treats with many who knew her. After the death of her son Lewis she moved to Virginia with her dog Cooper Jackson to be closer to her daughter Gayle (Diane). Together they enjoyed going to parks, plays, shopping and just spending as much time together as possible being besties. Diane passed on March 22, 2023 her reward for a life well lived will be received in heaven. In lieu of flowers the family asked that you go to a park, the zoo or somewhere fun, enjoy your family’s company. Puckett Funeral Home is serving the family. www.puckettfh.com
