Dorothy Louise Spencer

Dorothy Louise Spencer, 71 of Rice, VA passed away on July 16, 2014. She was born on July 17, 1942 in Billington, WV to the late Lawson and Alice Hall Wentz. She was the wife of John Spencer of Rice. They attended New Life Assembly of God Church in Farmville. She loved working in her flowers, reading books and taking care of her family especially cooking. She had a strong faith and was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and best friend. She is survived by her husband, John, five sons; Jeff Spencer of Rice, Greg Spencer of Idaho, Dan Spencer of Prospect, Kenny Spencer of Buckingham and Rob Spencer of CA; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two brothers and three sisters. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends on Saturday, July 19, 2014 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at Puckett Funeral Home. Puckett Funeral Home is serving the family. www.puckettfh.com
