Elaine Marie Marble

Elaine Marie Marble (Sweeney) entered this life on October 29, 1953. She returned to her loving

Heavenly Father on August 28, 2024. Elaine was an amazing mother and a beloved grandmother. Her

grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved reading, being in the outdoors and made everything an

adventure! Elaine leaves behind her husband, Glen David Marble; her five children David James Marble

(Stacey), Denise Marie Manry, William Robert Marble (Caitlin), Christopher Glen Marble (Tina), and

Michelle Nicole Arthur (James); her 15 beloved grandchildren, Lucy Marie, Hannah Ruth, Kyle Scott,

Joseph “Patrick”, Daniel Manfred, Logan Ray, Conner Everett, Liam Matthew, Liliana Rosemarie,

Maverick Corbin, Shannon Elizabeth, Lena Elaine, Gabriel William, Evelyn Lois, James Richard. She is

preceded in death by her mother Helen Marie Sweeney, her father John Everett Sweeney, her sister

Doris Loise Edmunds “Scootie”, and her two grandsons Caleb Josiah and Triston John.

Services will be held on September 8, 2024 at Puckett Funeral Home, Farmville, Va. Visitation will take

place at 1:00 p.m. with the service following at 2:00 p.m. A private burial will be held at the family
