Elizabeth Anne Fretwell

Elizabeth Anne Fretwell, 73 died in Southside Community Hospital in Farmville on Wednesday, April 21, 2010. She was born December 5, 1936 in Farmville. She was the Daughter of the late James William Fretwell and Mary Banks Fretwell. She graduated from Farmville High school class of 1955. She was a graduate of Stratford College in Danville, VA. She was a member of the Daughters of American Revolution and a member of Revelry Methodist Church in Richmond, VA and now a member of Farmville Methodist Church since moving back to Farmville. She worked for the State Disability Department in Richmond, VA. She was a member of the senior bowling club and the Farmville Lions Club.
She is survived by her sister, Beverley Fretwell Sanford of Kennesaw, Georgia, her two nieces, Mary Beverley Barrett and husband John Christopher Barrett of Marietta, Georgia and Kathryn Fretwell Fant and husband, John Perry Fant also of Marietta, Georgia; five great nieces and nephews, Meghan Kathryn Barrett, Sean Christopher Barrett, Holly Marie Barrett, Colin Alexander Fant and Harrison Cordell Fant.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2010 11:00AM at Farmville United Methodist church with interment in Westview Cemetery. Family will receive friends Wednesday, April 28, 2010 7:00-9:00PM at the Puckett Funeral Home in Farmville. Memorial contributions may be made to Farmville United Methodist Church or to Prince Edward County Volunteer Rescue Squad. Puckett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
