Elizabeth Price Womack

Elizabeth P. Womack “Lib” age 101 of Farmville, VA passed away on October 23, 2016 at her home with her niece by her side. She was born in Norfolk, VA on March 18, 1915 to the late Davis W. and Bertha Jenkins Sykes. Lib was a member of Farmville Presbyterian Church where she was the flower coordinator for 25 years. She was also a member of the Farmville Woman’s Club for over 50 years. Lib was a strong and very special lady, she always had a positive attitude and a smile.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 57 years Floyd G. Price and her husband of 15 years Vernon C. Womack and a son M. Gilbert Price.
She is survived by her sister Alice S. Spencer of Troy AL, her beloved niece Bobbi P. Etheridge of Chesapeake, VA (as she would say ”the daughter I never had”) a nephew Lonnie R. Sykes of Virginia Beach, VA, stepdaughters Pauline W. Spencer (Bill) of N.C. and Emma Lou Petaris of FL, her extended family who cared for her; Bernice Shetler, Dorcus Shetler, Jane Hershberger, Marie Miller, Arlis Miller, Donna Hertzler and Mattie.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home. Family will receive friends starting at 1:00PM until time of service. Interment will be at Westview Cemetery, Farmville.
