Else N. Krohn

Else N. Krohn passed away Saturday, July 4, 2009 in Farmville. She was born April 5, 1931 in Moss, Norway to Fredrik Nilsen and Hedvig Ombudstvedt Nilsen. Her parents, brother and two sisters in Norway preceded her in death. Else married W. Henrik Krohn 21 May 1955 and they immigrated to the United States with their son in 1958. Their twin daughters were born in Alabama. Else was a homemaker and sold real estate. She was an avid bridge player, gardener and a talented fiber artisan.
Else leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 54 years, W. Henrik Krohn of the home, her son, C. Fredrik Krohn of Richmond, VA, twin daughters, Joan H. Krohn (Ron Muller) of Glen Ellen, California and Marie E. Krohn-Polsinello of Farmville, VA; her grandchildren, Dawn M. Polsinello of Farmville, and Henrik L. and Jakob D. Krohn-Muller of Glen Ellen, California. Else is also survived by two nieces in Norway.
A memorial service will be held Friday, July 10, 2009 7:00PM at the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home. Family will receive friends Friday 6:00-7:00PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Elses name may be made to Prince Edward County Volunteer Rescue Squad.
