Elwood Finch

Elwood Finch, age 78 passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at his residence in Farmville. He was born on May 17, 1934 to the late William Carson and Moddie Meadows Finch. He was preceded in death by his brothers; Alfred “Monk”, William, Finney Berry and Oakly Finch. He is survived by his wife Betty Floyd Finch, of Farmville. Six children; Deborah Burley of Chesterfield, Wanda Jamerson of Farmville, Emily Driver and husband “Av” of Clayton N.C., David Allen of Pamplin, Elwood Carson “EC” and wife Rhonda of Farmville and Libby Lacks and husband Randy of Cullen. Four sisters; Ester Coleman of Hixsburg, Dorothy Piano and husband Bill of Keysville, VA, Marie Metcalf and husband George of Pamplin and Lois Bowles of Hampden Sydney. Eleven Grandchildren; Robbie, Rodney, Tina, Jason, Sarah, Erica, Eric, Travis, Seth, Morgan and Colby. Three Great Grandchildren and five step Great Grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Saturday, March 2, 2013 from 5:00PM – 7:00PM at the Puckett Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at 2:00PM ay Madisonville Presbyterian Church with interment to follow at Oak View Cemetery. Puckett Funeral Home is serving the family.
