Ernest Edward Campbell, Sr.

Ernest Edward Campbell Sr, 81 passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness, on Tuesday December 14, 2010 at his home in Prospect. He was born June 14, 1929 in Prospect, VA. He was the son of the late Crawley Clarke and Mary Marguerite Allen Campbell of Prospect.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy Brisentine Campbell, two sons, Eddie Campbell and his wife Robbin, of Stafford and Watt Campbell of Prospect, two daughters Jane Campbell Lowe and husband Jim of Lynchburg, Lynn Campbell Tougas and husband Scott of Chesterfield; eleven grandchildren Branden Campbell and wife Brooke, Becky Campbell Maynard and husband Jeff, Frank Campbell and wife April, Chris Campbell, Cole Campbell, Max Campbell, Chas Lowe, Campbell Lowe, Cate Lowe, Rachel Tougas and Jacob Tougas and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Sam, Henry, Jack, Robert (Mutt) and Frank Campbell and sister Marguerite(Tee) Kreye.
He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp and retired from Virginia Electric Power Company. Prior to his illness he was an active member of Prospect United Methodist Church where he served as a Lay Leader, Sunday school teach and Administrative Board member.
A funeral service will be held Friday, December 17, 2010 1:00pm at Prospect United Methodist Church with interment in the church cemetery.
