Frances Lee Worley, (aka Fannie Lee Whirley) age 82, formerly of Keysville, VA. passed away at The Woodland in Farmville on April 11, 2014. She was born on July 24, 1931 and grew up in Keysville, the daughter of Jake A. and Martha F. Whirley. She spent 43 years in U.S. Government service, having lived in Atlanta, GA for 33 years, before moving to The Woodland in Farmville in 2012 because of declining health. Miss Worley is survived by 4 sisters; Patricia Wright (Shelton) of Farmville, Louise Cawthorne (Marion) of Victoria, Mary Jane Johnson (Worth) of Farmville and Elizabeth Bryan (Kenneth) of Baltimore, MD, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; Marvin A. Whirley of Blackstone and John H. Whirley of Newport News. Miss Worley devoted her entire life to serving her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and was a faithful member of The Family Life Church of Sewannee, GA., which she attended until health problems prevented. Special thanks are extended to her faithful Pastor, Derek Watson. The family will receive friends at the Puckett Funeral Home starting at 3:00PMwith a funeral service in the chapel at 4:00PM.
