Hazel Mae Baldwin Power

Hazel Mae Baldwin Power passed away Sunday in Richmond. She was born January 28, 1915 in Prince Edward County, Virginia to James E. Baldwin, Sr. and Mattie Frances East Baldwin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Leslie Power; brothers, James E. Baldwin, Jr., Harry W. Baldwin Sr. and nephew, James B. Baldwin.

She is survived by nieces: Shirley B. Barnes of Richmond, Barbara B. Gunter of Amelia, Sharon B. Mullineaux of Richmond and Gloria B. Ferguson of Farmville, VA and her nephews, Lloyd W. Baldwin of Amelia, Harry W. Baldwin, Jr. of Richmond and Thomas L. Baldwin of Clarksville.

Hazel was a longtime member of the Tuggle Garden Club and was an avid animal lover. She will be remembered as a vibrant and lovely lady who was deeply cherished by family and friends.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 15, 2010 2:00pm at the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home in Farmville. Family will receive friends on Wednesday 1:00-2:00pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor, 1603 Michaels Road, Richmond, VA 23229.
