Jane Barr Chapman

Jane Barr Chapman, 89, of Farmville, passed away Friday, October 23, 2009 in Farmville. Mrs. Chapman was a member of the TOPS organization and Cumberland Baptist Temple and was formerly employed with Kil-Kare Laundry, Craddock & Terry Shoe Factory, Firestone Store and Chapman Store. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Washington and Nellie Rhymer Barr; her husband, Robert Woodrow, "Chat" Chapman; four brothers and seven sisters.
She is survived by two sons, James Chapman of Farmville; Gil Chapman and wife, Susie, of Buckingham; daughter, Joyce Foster and husband, Harold, of Richmond; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2009 in the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home, Farmville. Interment will follow in Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery, Cumberland County. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
