Jeannette Armes Tarlton

Jeannette Tarlton passed away on August 23, 2024. She was born on June 15, 1946 to the late Edward and Hazel Armes. She is survived by her husband James E. Tarlton and a son James E. Tarlton Jr. She is also survived by her brother Phillip Armes, sister in laws; Ida Newcomb (Albert), Mary Franklin, Mamie Bucknam, Jannie T. Baldwin (Bill), Wilsie Jones (Neal), and many nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers James and Tommy Armes.

Jeannette was a Red Hatter, made quilts for veterans, volunteered for Rock Baptist Church sewing. Jeannette worked at Southside Community Hospital as an X-Ray Tech in the ‘70’s then worked at Social Services in Prince Edward County until retirement. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, church goer and friend. 

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 from 10:00AM – 11:00AM at Glenn Memorial Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow starting at 11:00AM with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Puckett Funeral Home is serving the family. www.puckettfh.com.
