Joann Dowdy Lewis

Joann Dowdy Lewis, age 78 of Farmville, VA passed away on Thursday April 3, 2014. She was born in Prince Edward County, VA to the late Nellie Baldwin and James Dowdy on October 14, 1935. She is the wife of Eugene Lewis. She retired as medical records clerk at Home Recovery, loved to travel and was a member of the Church Of God. She was preceded in death by her son, Kenny E. Lewis and daughter in law Jennifer G. Lewis. She is survived by her husband, her brother Hermon Dowdy of Lynchburg, sisters, Myrtle Davenport of Richmond, Epsie Patterson of Evington, Bernice Coakley of Ashburn and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends on Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM. Puckett Funeral Home is serving the family.
