Joseph Milton Bailey

Joseph Milton Bailey 85 of Farmville, Virginia passed away on Monday, June 17, 2013. He was born in Fort Mitchell, Virginia to the late Nannie Glidewell Bailey and Jasper Hinton Bailey. He retired from the US Air Force with over 23 years of service, before retiring from the Virginia Department of Corrections. While stationed in Scotland, he met the love of his life and after spending over 51 years together, Margaret Steele Bailey predeceased him in 2009. He is survived by his sons; Joseph C. Bailey (Jazmin) of Farmville, Virginia, Dale M. Bailey (Cyndy) of South Carolina, daughters; Karen B. Dennis (Michael) of Virginia, Eileen B. Broughman (Steve) of Virginia and Beverly A. Bailey of New Hampshire, brothers; A. Ernest Bailey (Mary Frances), Curtis L. Bailey (Shirley), and one sister; Frances B. Thompson, 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by 7 of his siblings. Family will receive friends on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Puckett Funeral Home from 11:00AM – 1:00PM with a funeral service to follow at 1:00PM. Interment will be at Amelia Veterans Cemetery at 2:30PM.
