Joshua Logan Helmuth

Joshua Logan Helmuth, beloved son, brother, grandson and friend of many, departed this life on December 20, 2012. He is survived by his parents, Todd and Kristina Sickmiller; a brother, Jason Sickmiller; a sister, Mindy Sickmiller; Grandparents, Helen Christian, of Florida, James Vose,of Florida, and Carrol Lee and MarySue Sickmiller of Ohio. He is also survived by many cousins, aunts and uncles. Joshua was born in Daytona Beach, Florida, on October 26, 1988, to Kristina Vose (Helmuth), who married Todd Sickmiller in 1999, who was Josh’s only true father figure. He graduated from Cumberland High School in 2007. He was employed by Amelia Lumber Yard, in Amelia VA. Joshua was a vivacious soul who loved his family and friends, and his girlfriend Ashleigh Cordrey, and had an immense sense of loyalty to all of them. He had an infectious smile, and quick wit. Joshua had many talents, one of which was creating music and lyrics. In addition to that, Joshua was very intelligent, and at one point, in school, he received The Presidential Award for Academic Excellence. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 6:00-8:00pm at the Shiloh New Covenant Church in Cumberland, VA. A memorial service will also be held during that time.
