June Carole Lewis

Our daughter in Christ, June Carole Ellington Lewis, 68, passed away Monday, October 8, 2012 at her home in Farmville. She was born in Farmville on December 24, 1943. She is the daughter of the late Joseph and June Ellington. June Carole was a devoted member of Heritage Baptist Church. Volunteering and helping others was a very important part of her life. She loved children and enjoyed spending time with her great nieces and nephews. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Thomas Gene Lewis; mother in law, Lena Mae Lewis; cousins, Phyllis Burns and husband Andy, Ivie Lee Johnson, Todd Johnson and wife Angela, Debbie Danford and husband, Doug, Brother in law; James Lewis and wife Peggy, Sister in law; Betty Ramsey and husband, Danny; sister in law; Edith Reeve, nieces; Teresa Childers, Susan Cottrell, Stephanie Friis, Stella Taylor, nephew; Douglas Taylor Jr, Great nieces; Kaitlynn Childers, Kaleigh Childers and Madilynn Biggers, great nephews; Brandon Cottrell, Caleb Cottrell and Kevin Ashworth Jr. Visitation with family and friends will be at Puckett Funeral Home from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Wednesday October 10, 2012. A celebration of life will be held at Heritage Baptist Church on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 2:00PM Memorial Contributions may be made to Heritage Baptist Church Youth Fund, 700 Milnwood Rd, Farmville, VA 23901
