June Marie Spittle

June Marie Spittle, age 82 of Farmville, VA passed away on November 26, 2013. She was born in Danville, VA on August 27, 1931 to the late Marie Scearce Farthing and Ryland Farthing. She grew up in Danville but later moved to Southside Va. She was an avid Atlanta Braves Fan and enjoyed watching her sons grow up playing baseball. She is survived by her husband, John Spittle, two sons; “Chuck” Wooding (Debbie) from Farmville and Dale Wooding (Ann) of Burkeville, VA, two sisters; Barbara Roberts (John) from Lynchburg and Sandra Phillips (Eugene), from Alton, six grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2013 at the Burkeville Baptist Church at 3:00PM. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Nottoway County Rescue Squad 501 E. Virginia Ave, Crewe, VA. Puckett Funeral Home is serving the family.
