He had a love for hunting and had many trophies to prove it including deer, turkey, bobcat, and even a ram to name a few. He got his love for fishing from his Daddy and you could often find him over at Sandy River Reservoir on the water in his jon boat or in the parking lot telling his fishing stories. He caught a many largemouth bass, crappie, catfish, and bream and loved to cook them up. He loved Sunday dinners at his Momma’s house where she would cook his favorite homemade dishes. He spent several years as the lead rhythm guitar picker for the Stony Knoll Bluegrass Band. He loved picking with anyone who would join in at the many bluegrass festivals and parties that he attended with the love of his life Veronica “Vickie” Blevins and where he met all of his many bluegrass buddies.
