Laurine Sophie Nelson

Laurine Rene Nelson. Mother of Karen Mahan, Grandmother of Gabriel Layne. Rene passed away at the age of 87 on May 27, 2012. She was born in Cosmos, MN and after several moves she settled in Farmville, VA in 1985. She worked at Stackpole while living at Calloway’s Trailer Park. She has lived with her daughter KK at the JunkYard for the last 12 years. She kept her passion for poker; it was “ON” when Ralph Mahan would walk up the hill to play. She was preceded in death by her husband; Vincent Nelson, Her son; Gary Treumer, two sisters; Esther Benson and Doris Reinke, one brother; Ray Reinke and two sons in laws; Bradley Layne and Pug Mahan. She is survived by two daughters; Pamela Treumer and Karen Mahan, one brother; Bill Reinke, 8 grandchildren and 13 great grand children.
