Lawrence Earl Morris

Mr. Lawrence Earl Morris, 81 of Buckingham County passed away Wednesday morning in Lynchburg. He was born July 15, 1928 in Buckingham County. He was the son of the late Lacy Earl and Dorothy Senger Morris. Mr. Morris retired as a rural letter carrier and a lifelong farmer. He served in the United States Army from February 1955 until February 1957. He was a longtime Deacon and Trustee at Concord Baptist Church at Shepherds.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Kathryn Ayres Morris, his son, Lawrence Claiborne Morris and wife, Roma, daughter, Susan Morris Underwood, his grandchildren, Matthew Underwood, Elizabeth Libby Morris and Ashley Underwood; his sisters, Elsie Kidd and Helen Chappell, brother, Claude Morris, Sr. and wife, Shirley and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Friday, November 27, 2009 11:00AM at Concord Baptist Church at Shepherds with interment in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends Thursday evening 7:00 8:00PM at the Puckett Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Concord Baptist Church Building Fund.
