Lawrence Wade Franklin

Lawrence Wade Franklin age 72 of Prospect, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2015.
He was born in Prince Edward County VA on March 7, 1943 to the late Robert H. and Hallie Wooten Franklin. He was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church and retired from Dominion Power. His favorite past time was spending time with his granddaughters, riding 4 wheelers, fishing and hunting. He always grew a huge garden and he shared the harvest with many family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sue Campbell Franklin, his son; Lawrence “Larry” W. Franklin Jr. (Dana) of Prospect, a daughter; Stephanie F. Roach (Michael) of Prospect, 2 grandchildren; Emily and Abby Roach, 2 step grandchildren; Brandy Adamson, Ciera Fortner, his brothers; Clarence Franklin, Elton Franklin (Linda) his sister; Nannie “Gin” Nelson and sister-in- law, Joyce Floyd (Fred). He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 brothers; Curtis and Kenneth Franklin.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home with interment to follow at Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Friday, May 15, 2015 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at Puckett Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Prospect Vol. Fire Dept.
