Leston Sean Blackburn

Leston Sean Blackburn, 49, of Prospect, passed away suddenly at Southside Community Hospital Saturday, February 23, 2019. He was preceded in death by his younger brother Dustin L. Blackburn. Sean is survived by his beloved wife, Amanda Jones Blackburn of Prospect, son, LCpl Brandon Sean Blackburn, USMC of Prospect, his mother Winnie Mutispaugh (James) of Prospect, his father Al Blackburn (Deanna) of Williamsburg, brother Bryan Blackburn (Margaret) of Charles City, niece Lauren Blackburn of Richmond, nephew Matthew Blackburn of Springfield, mother-in-law Doris Jones of Victoria, and brothers-in-law Daniel Jones and Jonathan Jones of Richmond. Sean was an avid golfer and befriended many people in his travels working as a restoration specialist all over the east coast.
Born on July 11, 1969 in Richmond, Virginia, to Al and Winifred Blackburn, Sean began his career in restoration with Waters Craftsmen of Huntly, VA before founding L.S. Restoration. He successfully restored churches and historical buildings and was very proud to have helped restore many areas of the Skyline Drive stonework. Sean will be greatly missed by all who knew him for his genuine nature and kind heart.
A memorial service will be held at Puckett Funeral Home in Farmville, VA at 1:00p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2019, and the family will receive friends following the service at their home. Interment will be private. Puckett Funeral Home is serving the family. www.puckettfh.com.
