Lois Bailey Pugh

Lois Bailey Pugh, 92, of Darlington Heights, VA, passed away on April 13, 2022 at The Woodland in Farmville. She was born on July 16, 1929 to Thorbin and Gladys Bailey.
She worked as a sales clerk and a daycare aide. She enjoyed working in the children’s department of Spring Creek Baptist Church and volunteering at the Darlington Heights Fire Department.
For the last eight and a half years, Lois lived at The Woodland where she made many friends. Her hobbies were playing bingo, word search puzzles, and coloring.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, ten siblings, and her husband, Bob Pugh. She is survived by her daughter, Jane Mays, (Larry), two granddaughters, Heather Dalton (Chris) and Abby Mays, and one sister, Nancy Almquist.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 18th at 1:00 PM at Spring Creek Baptist Church with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Darlington Heights Fire Department or St. Jude’s Children’s Cancer Research Hospital.
Masks and social distancing are encouraged.
