Margie “Carolyn” Hall, 71, of Altavista, passed away with family by her side at Lynchburg
General Hospital on Friday, December 29, 2017. She was born on February 9, 1946 in
Lynchburg, Va to the Late Edward Ozz Cox and Emma Virginia Callahan Cox. She was preceded in death by her daughter Kimberly Dawn Hall.
She was a high school graduate of the Continental Academy of Florida. In her earlier years she worked at Universal Electric of Altavista but her love for children led her to pursue and attend Lynchburg Va Community College and earn certificates in Early Childhood development. She was a teacher for Clearview Christian Academy of Lynchburg Va, and worked with the after school program at the YMCA of Altavista for several years. She was a loving caregiver to many children and was known for her extreme faith and trust in Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and for being a fervent prayer warrior for others. She was a faithful member of Prospect Gospel Tabernacle after moving to Farmville and a friend and past member of Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church, where in earlier years she faithfully served teaching Children’s ministries and choir, singing and playing piano. Carolyn taught her children as well as so many others to always use their gifts and talents for Jesus.
She is survived by her Husband Hubert Ronald Hall (Ronnie), Her two daughters, Lisa Adams
and husband Tim of Rice, Va. Her daughter Renee Kirtz and husband Jeff of Waynesboro, Va.
Her grandchildren, Melanie Adams, Ryan Adams and wife Robin, Brittany Bryant and husband
Justin, and Maeghan Tyree. Her Great Grandchildren, Katie Grace Bobb, Logan Bobb, Faith
McCormick, Jeremiah McCormick, Tray Adams, Landon Adams, Bella Bryant, Bristol Bryant,
and Justin Bryant Jr. (due in March). She is also survived by her siblings Judy Booker and
husband Larry, Janice Foster and husband Rodney, Evelyn Bell and Husband Ricky, and Edward (Eddie) Cox and wife Lisa as well as many loving nieces and nephews, good friends, and church family.
Services will be held on Monday January 1, 2017 at Prospect Gospel Tabernacle of Prospect, Virginia with Pastor Gary Stoots and Pastor Brad Hendrix officiating. Visitation will be from 11am to 12pm and the Funeral will begin at 12:30pm with refreshments to follow. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Prospect Gospel Tabernacle of Virginia 4307 Prince Edward Highway, Prospect, VA 23960.
