Mary Kathleen Wise

Mary Kathleen 'Kathy' Wise, 71, of Cumberland, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2014. She was born on June 26, 1943, to the late Coley B. Dize, Sr. and Edna Mae Schuler. She was married 50 years to her loving husband, Robert Floyd Wise, Sr. She was a kind, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a member of Jones Chapel Baptist Church . She loved to travel and went to Australia and Ireland. She loved to listen to music and to line dance. She was member of the dance group, the “Cumberland Cutups”, and enjoyed spending time with “the girls”. She is survived by her husband, Robert; her son, Robert Floyd “Bobby” Wise Jr., of Cumberland; her daughters: Kimberly W. Thompson (Gary) of Cumberland; Robin W. Johnson of Portsmouth, Virginia; and Sally C. Wise (Bill Shelhorse) of Virginia Beach, Virginia; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her brother, Coley B. Dize, Jr. (Sharon) of Wheeling, West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as two sisters, Donna M. Palmer and Colleen B. Dize. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 2, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home, interment to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Route 45 North, Cumberland, Virginia. Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 1, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Puckett Funeral Home.
