Michael Wayne Burley

Michael Wayne Burley, 56 of Farmville, VA passed away at his home on Wednesday, September 25, 2013. He was born in Farmville on December 3, 1956 to the late Ruby Hatcher Burley and Walker R. Burley. He grew up in Farmville and in 1976 married his high school sweetheart, Terri A. Burley. Soon after, he started his own backhoe business, Burley Backhoe. He really enjoyed playing golf on his time off from work and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, one son; Michael Scott Burley of Farmville, his daughter; Holly Nichole Burley of Farmville, one brother; Bobby Burley (Hazel) of Burkeville, one sister; Peggy Barton (Clay) of Greenbay, a half sister; Mary Ann Cronk of Farmville, one grandchild; Jacey Burley. Family will receive friends on Friday, September 27, from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at Puckett Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 28, at 12:00Noon in the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Rice. Puckett Funeral Home is serving the family.
