Myrtle Kirtley Scott

Myrtle Kirtley Scott age 82 of Farmville, passed away on Friday May 4, 2012. She was born to the late Paul and Olive Newcomb Kirtley in Prince Edward County on May 27, 1929. She was married to the late Willie Vaughan Scott and lived in Farmville where she worked for Centel for over 40 years. She was a member of Farmville Church of God for over 42 years and was the church clerk and pianist for over 20 years. She was much loved by her church family. She was a volunteer at Southside Community Hospital where her kindness made everyone who knew her, love her. She is survived by her son; Willie Vaughan Scott, Jr. (Janice) and her daughter; Brenda Scott Baldwin (Pinkey) both of Farmville, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren, and one sister Virginia Nelson.

Service:
A funeral service will be held Sunday May 6, 2012 at 2:30PM in the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home, with the Reverend John Baldwin officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church Cemetery in Meherrin, VA. The family will receive friends an hour before service at Puckett Funeral Home
