Nancy Louise Herzig

Nancy Satterwhite Herzig, 63, of Meherrin, Va, passed away on August 25, 2017.
Nancy was born in Richmond, VA on April 7, 1954. Nancy married Donnie Herzig in February, 1973, and together they raised 5 children. Nancy loved children and was a homemaker while she raised her children and many of her children’s friends. She enjoyed sewing, decorating and remodeling.
Nancy is survived by Donnie Herzig of Meherrin; Children: Devee Herzig (Glen Pettis) of Meherrin, Farrah Sledd (Tine) of Crewe, Lindsey Tatum (Andrew) of Crewe, Jacob Herzig of Meherrin, and Carter Herzig (Jessica) of Victoria; Grandchildren: Tine, Graham and Gabriel Sledd of Crewe and Nathan Herzig of Victoria; Siblings: Patricia Harris of Chesterfield, Bonnie Townley (Teddy) of Richmond, Jimmy Satterwhite (Kandy) of Farmville, and Joanne Cmiel (John) of Chester; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and other family and friends.
Nancy is preceded in death by her brother Granville “Butch” Satterwhite, Jr., father Granville Satterwhite, Sr., and mother Alma Satterwhite.
The memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm on Saturday, September 2, 2017, in the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home with Larry Lehman officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Saturday starting at 3:00 pm at Puckett Funeral Home.
