Phyllis Cook Michael

Mrs. Phyllis Cook Michael, 88 years old, of Lynchburg, VA, went to be with the Lord on January 6, 2025. Phyllis was born in Burkeville, VA to the late William and Ethel Cook. She was preceded in death by her brother, Wilson Cook.

Phyllis was married to the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Michael for 66 years. She loved to cook and her family will surely miss her delicious meals. She also loved to shop and go out to eat with her friends and family. But what she loved the most was God and taking care of her family. Phyllis was a homemaker and treasured this role and was always the rock and foundation of her family. She always loved Bagby Memorial Church and cared deeply for the many friends and family there.

Phyllis is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob" Michael, and cherished son, Jeffrey Michael. She is also survived by her niece and nephews, Sherrie Cook Waddill, Timothy Cook and Fredrick Cook.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025 at 2:00 at Bagby Memorial Baptist Church, near Burkeville, VA. Puckett Funeral Home is serving the family. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Bagby Memorial Baptist Church, Burkeville, VA.
