Sharron Carmichael Brown

Sharron Brown, 81, of Farmville passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023. She is preceded in death by her parents, Troy and Sophie Carmichael and daughter Edwina Emerson.  She lived most of her life in Port Lavaca, Texas before moving to Virginia to be closer to her daughter.

She is survived by her son, Wallace Edwin Emerson, Jr. of Grapeland, Texas; daughter, Sharon Emerson-Stonnell (David) of Prospect, Virginia; grandson, Brandon Emerson (Alice) of Oreland, Pennsylvania; and great grandchildren Connor and Jane. 

She enjoyed playing cards and Bingo, going for long walks, and spending time with family and friends.  The family would like to thank the Woodland staff for their loving care during her time at Brookview Assisted Living.  She considered everyone there her extended family.

The family will hold a graveside service at a later date in Texas.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Prince Edward Rescue Squad. Puckett Funeral Home is serving the family. www.puckettfh.com.
