Thomas Allen Gatlin

Thomas Allen Gatlin age 71 of Rice, passed away Saturday December 24, 2011 in Charlottesville, VA. He was born in New Bern, N.C. to the late Clarence and Maggie England Gatlin. He retired from the US Navy after 30 years of service. He was an active member of the Farmville Moose Lodge, American Legion and Heart of Virginia Camping group. He was preceded in death by his son, Wade Allen Gatlin. He was survived by his wife; Dorothy Gatlin, a son; Glenn Gatlin, brothers; Otis Gatlin (LueRhe), Leonard Gatlin (Julia), Ray Gatlin (Pat) and Miller Gatlin(Joanne) all from North Carolina; step children; Howard Dame (Polly) of Lexington, KY, Larry Dame(Karen) of Gloucester, VA, and Barbara Gurley (Bill) of Rifle, Colorado. He also had seven step grandchildren; Amy, Gordon (Sonya) Corinne, Luke, Darin, Katie and Christopher; and one step great grand child; Devin.
