Thomas Lee Ragland

Mr. Thomas Lee Ragland, 78 of Farmville passed away Monday morning in Farmville. He was born February 26, 1931 in Prince Edward Co. He was the son of the late Thomas Lukin and Rosa Bryant Ragland. He was the husband of Elizabeth S. Ragland for 54 years. Mr. Ragland was an elder at Farmville Presbyterian Church, a past member of the Rotary Club and was a member of the 116th infantry division of Company G in Farmville.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, his children, Sarah Elizabeth Ragland Queen and husband, David of Dillwyn, Thomas Lee Ragland, Jr. of Washington Grove, Maryland and Robert E. Ragland and wife, Teresa of Rice; his brother, Ralph E. Ragland of Farmville and his grandchildren, Daniel Lee Queen, Evelyn Elizabeth Queen, Ana Michelle Ragland and Matthew Thomas Ragland. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Doris Ragland and Mary Alice Baker.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 24, 2009 2:00PM at the Farmville Presbyterian Church. Family will receive friends Wednesday evening 6:00-8:00PM at the Puckett Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Farmville Presbyterian Church.
