Vera Womack Copple

Vera Womack Copple, 88, of Madisonville VA. passed away Friday morning August 20th 2010 at the Appomattox Health and Rehab Center. Born in Prince Edward County, September 28, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Henry N. Womack and Eva Hamilton Womack, and the widow of Harry Amos Copple. Vera was a founding member of the Margaret Watson Bird Club in Darlington Heights, an avid gardener and for many years the pitcher and coach of the Spring Creek Baptist Church womens softball team. She loved her community and her many friends.
She is survived by her son, Harry Michael Copple of Madisonville VA and daughter Jo Ann Copple Eppes and husband, Tray of Darlington Heights, VA., her brother, Wilson Womack of Forest VA and six nieces and nephews, Ronald Womack, Connie W. McFadden, Cynthia W. White, Judith T. Williams, Jeanette Womack, and Glenda W. Raborn.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday August 24, 2010 at 11:00am in the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home with interment in Madisonville Presbyterian Church cemetery. Family night will be Monday August 23, 2010 from 7:00 - 9:00pm at Puckett Funeral Home. Memorial Contributions may be made to Madisonville Presbyterian Church, PO Box 97, Cullen, VA 23934.
