Violet Eleane Wason Coaker was born August 6, 1930 in New York to Bedford and Millicent Dummett Wason. Violet departed this life on June 5, 2012 at Lynchburg General Hospital, in Lynchburg, VA. She earned her education at Morris High School in Bronx, NY. Thereafter she became a LPN, Licenced Practical Nurse, at the Hospital of Joint Disease in New York City. Later in life, she received her RN, Registered Nursing license. She was employed as a registered nurse for over 40 years. Most of her employment was in private duty. She retired from the Hospital for Special Sugery in Nw York City. After retirement her final residence was in Farmville, VA. She was blessed with 4 children; Marvin, Alvin, Robin and Maria. Violet was a sassy, gentle and generous person. She was devoted to her children and grandchildren. She cooked well, and had an energetic spirit and had a great sense of humor. Her life time saying to everyone who knew her was 'MAKE LIFE MATTER'. She leaves to cherish her memories: sons, Marvin Coaker, Alvin Coaker Jr. daughters; Robin Coaker, Maria Coaker, sisters; Millicent Seeley, Ellis Jackson, six grandchildren; Christina Coaker, Latasha Torres, Safwan Coaker, Zul'Qurnai Coaker, Marvin Coaker Jr, Jasmine M. Coaker and an abundance of great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and other relations and friends.
