Virginia Crockett Ingle, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother from Cumberland, Va., departed this life on January 19, 2012. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jack Ingle; three children, Michael Ingle and wife, Sandi, Carol Gramlich and husband, Tom, Randy Ingle and wife, Kelly; eight grandchildren, Justin Ingle and wife, Angel, Brian Ingle, Jackie Gramlich, Zack Ingle, Chris Gramlich, Code Ingle, Carson Ingle and Nick Gramlich; two great-grandchildren, Shane and Zanae Ingle; sister, Arline Wood and husband J.T.; close nephew, John Edison Wood; and numerous other nieces and nephews. She was born on March 18, 1934 to Ed and Gertrude Crockett, graduated from Cumberland High School and Longwood College. After a life spent on the move as the wife of an Air Force officer, Virginia retired from working for the Department of the U.S. Air Force and moved back to Cumberland. She enjoyed family, friends and traveling to see God's natural wonders. She always placed others' desires first. Virginia was a member of Fitzgerald Baptist Church. Viewing will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2 to 6 p.m. at Puckett Funeral Home, 115 Covington Court, Farmville, Va. Funeral services will also be at Puckett on Monday, January 23 at 10 a.m., with burial at Center Presbyterian Church, Cumberland, Va., at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Fitzgerald Baptist Church or Cumberland Ruritan Club, both in Cumberland, Va.

Interment will be at 12:00 (Noon) on Monday, January 23, 2012.
