Wanda Saunders Drew

It is with both sorrow and rejoicing that we announce the passing of our beloved Nana, Wanda Saunders Drew, 74 of Crewe, Va., on April 20, 2025. Wanda was a wife, a mother, a grandmother, as well as a friend of many who remember her with joy.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents Edward Saunders, Sr. and Virginia Barton Saunders, her sisters Ginger Saunders and Debra S. Farrar and her son, Douglas Crafton. She is survived by her husband Ronald E. Drew of Crewe, her brother Edward Saunders, Jr., her son Jonathan Crafton and family, Kristopher Drew and family, Jessica D. Thomas and family, her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Wanda was a LPN who dedicated her life to caring for others and even in death strove to help strangers. Blessed with a generous love of others, she became an organ donor and donated to strangers to ensure their families got to have what we will miss, more time. In lieu of flowers or donations we ask that you search your hearts and if you feel so led, honor the gift of giving by following in her steps and become an organ donor, as well.
