William Marlie Speas

William Marlie Speas age 90 of Farmville, VA passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2015. He was born in Carol County N.C. on October 10, 1925 to the late William H. and Nellie Combs Speas. He worked for himself in commercial refrigeration known as Farmville Refrigeration for 35 years. He was well known in the Farmville area and beyond for his good work.
He was married to his wife Kathleen Nelson Speas on August 2, 1949.

William Speas is survived by his wife of 66 years, Kathleen Speas, a son, Arthur Wayne Speas of Cumberland, a brother; Roy Sterling Speas of Stanly N.C.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers; Arlie Edward Speas and Raymond “Deckie” Speas.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home with interment in Oak Grove Baptist church Cemetery, Cumberland. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Puckett Funeral Home from 6:00PM – 8:00PM.
