William Marvin Orange of Louisa, VA, son of Marvin Hable Orange and Emilie Gladys Oertel Orange, died January 18, 2024 at his home surrounded by family. He was 80 years old and is survived by his wife of 61 years, Virginia (Ginger) Fahrner Orange, sister Emilie Kathryn "Kathy" Judkins (Mike), 5 daughters, Deannie (John), Christy (Terry), Terry (Lee), Sherry (Lester) and Lorri, 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Originally from Cumberland County, William graduated from Cumberland High School in 1962. He studied technical engineering through Virginia Polytech Institute, business law and English at University of Richmond. He loved the outdoors, farming, hunting, camping and fishing. He loved sports, racing and football. William was head of building & grounds and sang in the choir at Fork Baptist Church. There was nothing more important to him than his family. The grandchildren and great grandchildren gave him so much joy. He coached baseball and taught his grandsons to hunt. The funeral service will be held at 11:00am at Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Family will receive friends and family at the church at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Cumberland Presbyterian Church 1835 Cumberland Rd, Farmville, VA 23901.
