William Paradise

William Paradise, 85 of Victoria, VA passed away on June 1, 2017.
He was born in Baltimore MD to the late Pete and Gladys Sparks Paradise on April 18, 1932. He grew up in “Greek Town”, MD and served in the US Navy in the Philippines. He loved to scuba dive and was a great swimmer. His hobbies were also golf, horse racing and cards.
He was married to the love of his life Constance Joan Paradise for 66 years and together they raised 5 children. After service he worked as an electrician Supervisor at Eastern Stainless Steel.
He is survived by his wife, 1 son William Phillip Paradise (Suzan) of Baltimore MD, 3 daughters Sandra Joyce Mathews (Randy), of Victoria VA, Mary Jo Haslbeck (Richard) of Baltimore, MD, Stephanie Paradise-Brown (Jerry) of Fawn Grove, PA, 1 sister Mary Fonzi, 11 grandchildren; Jennifer, Michelle, Echo, Bianca, Lydia, Ben, Stefanie, Alexandra, Alexis, Zachary, Jessica, 17 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren, step-daughter Tiana Phillips of Portland OR. And a daughter in law, Dawn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Theodore Peter Paradise, 3 brothers George, Michael and Stephen Paradise 2 sisters Anna Simmonsen and Irene Brady, brother in laws Richard Fonzi, Walter Simmonsen and John Brady.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 3:00PM in Central Baptist Church, 404 North Marlyn Ave, Essex, MD 21221 with a reception to follow after service at church.
