Wilma Allen Oertel

Wilma Allen Oertel of Farmville, VA passed away at her home on Monday, September 10, 2012. She was born in Sevierville, TN on September 21, 1930 to the late Edith Allen and Dayton Allen. She worked in Farmville as a bank branch manger at First National/First Virginia Bank until her retirement. She was loved by her friends and customers at the bank. She is survived by her husband; Willie Oertel Jr, Her children; Donna O. Ennis (James), Debbie O. Nash (Robert), Dottie O. Dice (Joseph) and Willie Oertel III. She was blessed to have 8 grandchildren; Stephanie Baldwin (Benjamin), Amber Noblin, Robert Chambers, Megan Sims (Will), Ashley Noblin, John Chambers, Abbie Oertel, Willie Oertel IV and 4 great grandchildren; Preston Sutton, Landon Sutton, Randy Sims and Simone Noblin. She was preceded in death by her 3 brothers; Fern R. Allen, Dayton S. Allen Jr.and Kenneth D. Allen and an infant sister. A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 1:00PM. Family will receive friends Wednesday September 12, 2012 from 7:00PM – 8:30PM at Puckett Funeral Home.
